Matthew Woodson was born and raised in the pit of snakes known as rural Southern Indiana. After graduating from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in early 2006 with a focus in Natural History Illustration, Matthew’s obsessive loves for natural history and the past were stronger then they had ever been. Fresh out of school Matthew was commissioned by Margeotes, Fertitta & Partners New York to illustrate the Perry Ellis Fall/Winter 2006 campaign, and has been working as a fulltime freelance illustrator ever since.

Denise van Leeuwen was born in Heinkenszand, the Netherlands in 1981. Denise started freelancing after her graduation from the Willem de Kooning academy in 2005. She create his illustrations with pen and pencil, sometimes with coloured pencil, but mostly graphite.

Teagan White is a freelance designer and illustrator from Chicago, currently living and working in St Paul, Minnesota, where she recently earned her BFA in Illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art + Design. Her body of work encompasses intricate renderings of flora and fauna, playful depictions of cute anthropomorphic critters, illustrative typography, and everything in between. Throughout her projects, a fascination with nature, antiquities, and reciprocal relationships between life forms is maintained, and her visual identity remains consistent in its high level of detail and harmonious color and composition.

Portrait Drawings by German artist Dirk Dzimirsky. Dirk wants to capture and describe a persons presence and specific inner self. Similar to what a detailed writer might employ in their analysis of an individual, he portrays not only the physical attributes, but more importantly the subjects inner presence of life. It’s not too obvious as his work appears most detailed, but he understands his approach as both representational and lyrical, using marks like words and textured areas like paragraphs. All parts of a whole, telling a story about a human being.
