Tilt shift photography is the use of camera movements on small- and medium-format cameras, and sometimes specifically refers to the use of tilt for selective focus, often for simulating a miniature scene. The photography trick using selective focus to mimic the look of miniatures is still very popular. Tilt Shift photographer Ben Thomas is known for his Cityshrinkers series of international cities. Here’s his tilt-shift series with Paris, Berlin, London, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney and Kobe. Ben is based in Melbourne, Australia.
